The Holly Bush in Animal Crossing: New Horizons has only one version costing 280 Bells each from Leif’s Flower Shop. They bloom November 1st to December 31st in the Northern Hemisphere, and May 1st to June 15th in the Southern Hemisphere.

They bloom June 1st to September 20th in the Northern Hemisphere, and December 1st to March 20th in the Southern Hemisphere. The Azalea Bushe s in Animal Crossing: New Horizons have Pink and White color variants costing 280 Bells each from Leif’s Flower Shop.

How long do bush buds bloom?

Note that bush buds will always appear first for one day with the full blooming visuals appearing the next day after. If you time travel into a blooming period, the buds will still appear for one day first, even if it’s not the first day of the season.

They bloom A pril 11th to May 31st in the Northern Hemisphere, and October 11th to November 30th in the Southern Hemisphere.

Planting bushes on your island couldn’t be any easier! To plant a bush, just open your inventory and select the Plant option when pressing on a bush start that you’ve purchased from Leif. It works exactly the same as planting flower seeds.

As of January 1st when this guide was last updated, the current in season bush type for the Northern Hemisphere are the Camellia Bushes, replacing the Holly Bush previously in bloom. These are available for sale in both pink and red variants.

There are 11 different bushes or shrubs you can grow in total for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, comprising 6 unique types with color variants for most bushes. We have photo icons for every type of bush below in each color and hope to add in-game photos for them all soon.

After that, the Hibiscus Bushes will begin blooming on January 21st in yellow and red colors, replacing the outgoing Hydrangea Bushes. They bloom January 1st to March 31st in the Northern Hemisphere, and June 16th to September 30th in the Southern Hemisphere. Notably, there is a short period following the Camellia Bushes where there are no bushes of any type in blooming seasons.

How long does it take for a bush to bloom?

The first day in the images above is the day you plant them. After that, it’ll take 3 days for them to be fully grown and sprout Flowers. The Flowers on the Bushes bloom only in certain seasons, so refer to the list above to see what Bush blooms when!

Bushes Don’t Have Hybrids. Unfortunately, Bushes and Shrubs don’t spread naturally or cross-pollinate, so the only way to get more is to buy them from Leif, and only the colors available at the shop can be grown.

There are currently 6 known types of shrubbery that you can buy – each corresponds to a different season, and most come in two known colors. When Leif appears on random days, he will sell two types of shrub starters – one that is currently in season, and one other type. Most come in 2 types of colors, and can be bought in single or in a bulk of 5.

They will mature over a the course of a few days, with an extra day for seasonal flowers to bloom. once they begin growing, you will not be able to walk through them like flowers. They cannot be bred to create more or hybrid flowers, as watering cans have no effect on them whatsoever.

When it rains, you can find Snails crawling on them! Bushes don’t die when out of season, they just won’t show up – just talk to Leif to see which shrubs are in season.
